Webster University is based in St. Louis, Missouri, but our university has campuses in four continents. Our Applied Educational Psychology: School Psychology Graduate students have studied in the Netherlands, Argentina, and Switzerland through grants from Webster University's World Traveler Program. Webster's School Psychology program is intentionally designed as a program with a focus on international, multicultural, and bilingual perspectives. Our program is not only aligned with NASP's Practice Model domains, it is also aligned with the 2009 goals of the International School Psychology Association (ISPA). Webster University has a globalized curriculum and every student experiences a globalized learning component. We also have specialized courses focusing on multicultural counseling and bilingual issues in school psychology. All students in our program learn about international and multicultural school psychology; some earn the optional emphasis in International Children's Rights. Our students develop expertise in culturally and linguistically responsive multi-tiered systems of support as well as assessment and intervention. Our program seeks to train students committed to putting social justice into practice on a daily basis and our faculty and students serve our St. Louis and global community as change agents in the field. The majority of students in our program present work at multicultural, cross-cultural, and international conferences. Our applied educational psychology and school psychology programs have produced three international publications about social justice and cross-cultural perspectives. Twenty-three applied educational psychology and school psychology students and faculty to date have received the Shining Light Award from Missouri Families4Families.

Comprehensive Program As recommended in NASP's Position Statement on the recruitment of culturally and linguistically diverse school psychologists, we provide flexible training options and part-time opportunities for our students who are predominantly working professionals.
Retention & Recruitment Our academic and professional community serves as our "recruiters." We hope to offer scholarships in the future.
Field Placements Students are provided with placements in schools serving a high number of CLD students and assigned to supervisors that have had training or experience working with diverse populations.
As part of the curriculum at the Webster University, a combination of required multicultural courses and content infused throughout the curriculum are used to enhance learning and competency in diversity issues.
