Cyberbullying and Social Media Use: Overview and Implications for Practitioners
By Stephanie S. Fredrick, Lucia Sun, & Amanda B. Nickerson
Cyberbullying has been on the rise in recent years and is a concern for youth and their families—it is often associated with negative academic, social, and emotional outcomes. These effects often find their way into the offices of principals and school mental health providers. This article reviews the issues involved in cyberbullying and its effects, and it points the way toward effective prevention and intervention strategies.
NASP is pleased to announce that Meaghan Curran Guiney, PhD, NCSP, has been selected as the editor-elect of Communiqué, with her full editorship beginning July 1, 2023.
