Registration is Open for the Virtual Advocacy Academy

Registration is officially open for the 2021 Virtual Advocacy Academy! While we are unfortunately unable to gather in DC for NASP’s annual Public Policy Institute (PPI), you won’t want to miss out on this year’s virtual affair taking place on July 21 and 22This experience will be distinct from PPI, focused solely on addressing shortages in school psychology, and will provide the fundamentals of grassroots advocacy in order to advocate successfully when meeting with members of Congress and their staff.

The Virtual Advocacy Academy will offer attendees 7.5 hours of NASP-approved credit through prerecorded learning modules, live discussions on addressing school psychology shortages through federal advocacy, and a virtual Hill day. During the Hill day, NASP will help attendees prepare for and successfully complete meetings with Congressional staff from their districts. You can see the agenda overview for the Virtual Advocacy Academy here

Be sure to keep any eye out for speaker announcements and other Virtual Advocacy Academy details by following NASP on social media and bookmarking the Policy Matters blog

Although we won’t be in Washington, DC, together this year, we look forward to advocating for school psychology services with the support of school psychologists from across the country!
