ABSTRACT: A summary of previous historical writing on the National Association of School Psychologists is presented with a comparative analysis of events and growth in the Association’s second decade. Emphasis is placed on organizational governance, governmental relations, publications, and comparative trends in conventions. A description of the field’s present status is given in contrast to predictions made at the end of the first decade. A comprehensive appendix is provided which names contributors to NASP’s governance during the period 1969-1989 and which updates selected information from the previous mini-series, NASP at Ten.
