Tips for Making a Great Presentation
Congratulations if you have had your proposal accepted for the NASP 2018 Annual Convention in Chicago! We are excited about what promises to be a great convention, and we hope you are, too.
The next step is to put together your presentation, and you want it to be informative, engaging, and meaningful. Anne Beninghof shares some simple tips in this video on how to give a presentation that genuinely contributes to your audience's professional development.
Experienced or first-time presenters will benefit from these brief reminders of what NASP convention attendees (i.e., smart school psychologists) appreciate in a convention presentation.
Practice Model Information for Convention Presenters
NASP is encouraging convention presenters to reference the NASP Practice Model in their presentations. This is part of our effort to help school psychologists become more familiar with the model, better understand how their work currently fits into the model, and recognize how they can use the model to advocate for their services and the profession. This can also help frame and structure your presentation for attendees. We have developed a few resource slides (PPT) to get you started. The slides can be used individually or in combination and be adapted as you see fit.
