  • 15 live Practitioner Conversation Sessions
  • 300 On-Demand Sessions (30 minutes each)
  • 300 Posters with interactive live chat sessions
  • General Session including the Keynote Address and Awards Presentations
  • President's strands sessions
  • Publisher-sponsored sessions

  • Special Events
  • Evening activities
  • Postconvention access to all archived educational sessions (available approximately 2 weeks after the conclusion of the convention for 60 days)
I need documented, NASP- and APA-approved CPD. How do I get it?

You can earn documented, NASP-approved continuing professional development credits by attending live sessions only. NASP also is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NASP maintains responsibility for this program and its content. After you have watched a live session, you will complete an evaluation form and your documentation will be sent to the email address you used to register for the convention. Other sessions (e.g., on-demand, posters) can be claimed for Category H CPD credit (self-study) that contributes to the overall CPD requirements for renewal. However, NASP-approved documentation is not provided.

How do I get my documentation of attendance after an archived live session?

Within two weeks following the convention, sessions on the live program will be converted to On-Demand Sessions. After watching a session, completing an evaluation, and passing a set of multiple-choice questions about the session, documentation of your attendance will automatically be sent to the email address you used to register for the convention. These sessions will count as Category H (self-study), though still will provide NASP-approved CPD.

How do I track my own attendance at sessions that do not provide documentation?

You can use the Activity Documentation Form located on the CPD Guidelines webpage for this purpose.

Can you help me explain to my supervisor the importance of attending this year's convention?

We have tools that you can use to help explain the value of attending the convention to your supervisor, including talking points and a customizable letter that you can download. You also can download a digital version of our convention brochure.

How long will I have access to sessions after the convention is over?

All convention educational sessions will be available approximately 2 weeks after the conclusion of the convention. At that point, registrants will have access to those sessions for 60 days.

Can I still message poster presenters after the convention is over?

You cannot continue to message them through the virtual convention platform, but there will be specifically designated times, during the convention week, for question-and-answer chats with the authors of the posters included within each of the 11 Poster Sessions. You also can access their contact information to email them at a later date.

How can I be a presenter at the convention?

The deadline to submit a proposal for the 2021 convention has passed. The next annual convention will be held February 15–18, 2022. The Call for Presentation Proposals information for the 2022 convention will be available in the spring and is planned to open in early May 2021.

What if the times chosen for live sessions conflict with my schedule?

Because the convention is virtual, we expect attendees to watch across time zones. To help cater to all audiences needing to earn CPD credit for live sessions, we decided not to start live sessions until around 10:00 a.m. EST (7:00 a.m. PST). If you cannot watch a session live, you still can watch the recording later and claim Category H CPD credit (self-study).

Can I still message exhibitors after the convention is over?

Yes. Plus, each time you enter a virtual exhibit booth , you have the option of allowing access to your contact information for representatives of the exhibiting company.

How do I find a specific exhibitor?

You can view a list of exhibitors and make a checklist of the vendors you wish to visit using the virtual convention platform. Exhibitors will appear in alphabetical order.

I am an employer/recruiter and would like to conduct interviews. What do I need to do?

Employers and recruiters often choose the NASP convention to promote their organizations and solicit candidates. This year, without the cost of travel and housing, we expect more employers and recruiters may choose to exhibit at the NASP 2021 Virtual Convention. Consider the Premium Exhibit Listing, which includes a 1:1 booking system using Zoom rooms. This is a perfect way to have scheduled, virtual interviews with job candidates. Alternatively, consider the Enhanced Exhibitor Listing to use the Live Chat functionality and set up interviews with potential candidates for later dates or outside of the convention platform.
