Known as Charm City, Baltimore is home to hundreds of historic buildings, quaint neighborhoods, arts and entertainment venues, and more. Located in the heart of downtown, the convention center is just blocks from three of Baltimore’s most popular destinations: the Inner Harbor, Fell’s Point, and Federal Hill.
The Inner Harbor contains a number of shops, eateries, and attractions. Visit the National Aquarium, explore a historic ship, tour the Maryland Science Center, or view the city from the observation deck at the World Trade Center. Have family fun at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum or enjoy evening entertainment at Power Plant Live!
A National Historic District, Fell’s Point is known for its nightlife, dining, and walking ghost tours. Stop by The Horse You Came In On Saloon, the oldest operated saloon in North America and former stomping grounds of Edgar Allen Poe, for live entertainment.
Just south of the Inner Harbor, walk to the top of Federal Hill for the best views of the city and to see replicas of the cannons that defended Baltimore during the War of 1812. Visit the Cross Street Market for everything from vegan takeout to brick oven pizza to craft beverages. If you love art, tour the American Visionary Art Museum for incredible exhibits and sculptures inside and out.
Baltimore is just 40 miles north of the nation’s capital, Washington, DC, making the convention an incredible opportunity to see both cities in one trip. Take an Amtrak train from Baltimore’s Penn Station to DC’s Union Station.
