SE001: American Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Services Introduction
Tuesday, February 18, 2:00–3:30 p.m.
The American Red Cross and NASP are cosponsoring this interactive, 90-minute session on disaster mental health work. This course is a prerequisite for participants who would like to become Red Cross Disaster Mental Health volunteers. After completing this course, prospective volunteers must connect with their Red Cross chapter to be brought aboard as volunteers. They can then take Disaster Mental Health Fundamentals, a two-part course offered online (part one) and in person (part two). Attendees of this session will be awarded certificates to document their completion of the session. This session is sponsored by the Convention Committee. Preregistration and a $10 materials and processing fee are required.
