NASP 2021 Annual Convention
NASP 2021 Convention Update
After a great deal of consideration and recognition of the vast number of complex unknowns related to the pandemic, we have made the decision to move the NASP 2021 Convention from an in-person to a virtual experience. This decision was not made easily, but we are confident it is the correct one. Our priorities are to ensure both the health and safety of our presenters and attendees and our ability to provide a high-quality, robust virtual convention, which takes time and planning. We will share details on the website and through e-communications regarding the convention program and schedule, presenter information, and registration timing and fees in the coming weeks. We will be communicating with those who have submitted presentation proposals in the next few weeks as well. For the time being, we know registration will open later this fall (most likely later than our traditional opening date in early October).
It seems fitting that President Wendy Price’s presidential and convention theme is “The Power of Possibility.” As with so many things this year, NASP and school psychologists across the country are demonstrating the true power of focusing on the possible and committing to making it the reality. While it is disappointing to not be gathering in Salt Lake City in person, moving to a virtual convention opens up opportunities for people to experience the convention, earn CPD, and gather with colleagues from across the country in a safe, accessible, and manageable way. We are thrilled about the line-up of speakers we have underway. We are excited about the new and creative ways people will be able to engage with the content and each other. We look forward to an amazing convention that will exemplify the Power of Possibility in all of us.
