Program(s) Philosophy
Our program provides a strong generalist training so that our graduates are prepared to work as school psychologists in a wide variety of settings. We strive to prepare students to work at all age/grade levels as well as in rural, suburban, and urban settings. Our graduates are also prepared to work in settings from traditional to a more flexible problem solving approach. Finally, our students are required to document that they meet all knowledge and performance indicators as listed in the Illinois State Standards as well as the Standards set by the National Association of School Psychologists. The program is accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education and the National Association of School Psychologists.
