and Ethnicity
- Females account
for 74% of practicing school psychologists, and 7 out of 10 of them hold
non-doctoral degrees (National Association of School Psychologists, 2008).
- Of the 7.3% of
practicing school psychologists who are ethnic minorities, 7 out of 10 of them
hold non-doctoral degrees (National Association of School Psychologists, 2008).
- A significant
proportion of practicing minority school psychologists hold non-doctoral degrees: 9 of 10 American Indians or Alaska Natives, 7 of 10
Latinos, 6 of 10 Asians or Pacific Islanders, and 5 of 10 African Americans
(National Association of School Psychologists, 2008).
