NASP Multicultural Affairs Committee
The Multicultural Affairs Committee was established to promote cultural awareness and culturally competent practice within the field of school psychology. Several initiatives are underway to help advance the diversity goals laid out in NASP’s Strategic Plan including: increasing the number of practicing school psychologists and NASP members from culturally and linguistically diverse groups; increasing the participation of school psychologists from diverse backgrounds in NASP leadership and committees; increasing the number of Convention presentations and the dissemination of materials and resources that address diversity issues; and increasing the number of culturally and linguistically diverse students and faculty in school psychology training programs.
