School Psychology Awareness Week 2015
The theme for School Psychology Awareness Week (SPAW) 2015 is Connect the Dots and THRIVE! Our goal is to help connect students to the academic and social-emotional skills they need to promote personal achievement, growth, and resilience, as well as a sense of belonging and wellbeing. Resources and messaging can be adapted to students and adults, different age groups, and multiple contexts. The program involves a series of resources and suggested activities to help school staff, students and parents understand the variety of factors that contribute to thriving students and school communities.
Connect the Dots and THRIVE!
The annual NASP School Psychology Awareness Week poster can be used in many different ways, from starting school-wide initiatives to having conversations with parents about how to best support the growth and development of their children into thriving individuals. Regardless of how you use it, this poster can inspire all school personnel to help students thrive.
We have developed these adaptable resources to help you reach out to parents, educators, administrators, and other members of your school community to make them aware of your activities during School Psychology Awareness Week and your work around the year to help schools and students thrive.
These programs, available year round, are perfectly suited to incorporation in your School Psychology Awareness Week activities. Use these programs to foster gratitude, recognize the positive impact of individual action, and encourage resilience.
