Virtual Hill Day - November 14, 2018
School Psychology Awareness Week is the perfect time for school psychologists to unlock their potential as an advocate. NASP's Virtual Hill Day will be Wednesday, November 14, 2018.
Across the country, school psychologists will be writing to their congressional leaders asking them to support some of the issues that are most important to school psychologists: creating safe and supportive learning environments, increasing access to school-employed mental health services, and ensuring a high quality, well-rounded, and rigorous curricula. You can find helpful talking points on these issues here.
Our goal with Virtual Hill day is that every member of Congress hears about the policy issues facing children and youth and school psychologists.
Participating is as easy as:
- E-mailing Congress on key issues using NASP's Advocacy Action Center. Link to come.
- Sharing your message on social media. Don't forget to tag your members of Congress and use your state's political hashtag!
- Checking with your state association to see if they have plans for you to advocate in your state.
