The School Psychologist in a Community Mental Health Center

ABSTRACT: The desire and ability to practice in other than the traditional school setting is becoming of increasing interest to school psychologists. This article explores the similarities and differences in training and practice between school and community psychology. It also discusses how a school psychologist might practice in a community mental health center and the additional training that would be necessary to make the transition to a community setting.
