The Practice of School Psychology in Vocational Rehabilitation

ABSTRACT: School psychologist have shown increased interest in the vocational programming of handicapped adolescents in recent years. Training programs in vocational school psychology have been developed, and school psychologists with such training have been applying their newly learned skills in a variety of settings. One setting which is particularly appropriate for the application of these skills is a vocational rehabilitation facility. This article describes the services provided in rehabilitation facilities, and discusses actual and potential roles for school psychologists invocational rehabilitation.
