Mary Elizabeth Hannah, Elizabeth Midlarsky
pp. 510-520
ABSTRACT: While school psychologists often work with handicapped children and their parents, siblings of the handicapped have been relatively neglected as a focus of concern. this paper presents empirical research on diverse psychological difficulties experienced by this group, and the child and family variables associated with maladjustment. In addition, conclusions about the ways in which school psychologists may intervene, both directly and indirectly, with this population are discussed.
