Dyslexia Research … is an edited work of 11 chapters intended to demonstrate how an interdisciplinary approach to dyslexia that emphasizes the contributions of neurology, experimental psychology, and education can contribute to the understanding and treatment of this perplexing disorder. The various chapters are essentially a result of a series of symposia held at the University of Manchester in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. The contributors, for the most part, present a British-European perspective on the many issues detailed, though such names as Dirk Bakker, Macdonald Critchley, and O. L. Zangwill are certain to be familiar to most American workers in the field.
