A Multiprofessional Approach to the Early Detection and Treatment of Developmentally Disordered Preschool Children
Current information in both the medical and behavioral sciences forcefully documents the need to plan and activate wide scale programs for the early detection and treatment of young children with developmental problems. With the development of preschool federally funded Day Care and Head-Start programs, a unique opportunity exists for collaborative efforts among the systems of education, medicine and mental health to provide the best in preventive, diagnostic, and treatment services to vulnerable preschoolers and their families.
