pp. 168-173
ABSTRACT: This article argues that the multidisciplinary team (MDT) can provide more effective and satisfying psycho-educational services by adopting a family systems orientation. A brief overview of family systems theory and rationale for the MDT employing such a model is provided, followed by a discussion of specific MDT functions that can serve to facilitate a school-family alliance.
