The Stress Response Scale: An Instrument for Use in Assessing Emotional Adjustment Reactions
Louis A. Chandler
ABSTRACT: This paper introduces and presents data on the Stress Response Scale, an instrument developed for use in the assessment of children’s emotional adjustment reactions. This scale was designed for use in screening procedures and in differential diagnosis among various groups of children commonly seen for psychological services. Normative data are presented, the effects on rating scale scores of age and sex are discussed, and the normal population is compared to a population of clinic referred children.
