Reliability of the Conners Abbreviated Teacher Rating Scale Across Raters and Across Time: Use With Learning Disabled Students

pp. 457—459

ABSTRACT: The present study investigated the inter-rater and intra-rater reliability of the Corners Abbreviated Teacher Rating Scale (CATRS). Teachers and classroom aides of LD pupils were asked to complete the CATRS on two separate occasions, one month apart. Intra-rater reliability for teachers (.866) and for aides (.602), and inter-rater reliability (.702) achieved acceptable statistical levels. Based on the findings, CATRS appears to have sufficient reliability to recommend its continued frequent use.
