Discipline in the High School: Organizational Factors and Roles for the School Psychologist

ABSTRACT: This article presents an overview of research on selected aspects of discipline in the high school. The Safe Schools Study is discussed and relevant organizational factors are presented. These include school size, decision making, rules, discipline codes and punitiveness. An example of school psychology discipline consultation is presented.
