Approximately 15,000 school psychologists practice in the United States with 2,000entering the job market annually. Both NASP and APA have demonstrated concern for the provision of quality services by outlining minimal standards of training and by taking leadership in fomenting continuing professional development. The importance of ongoing supervision for practicing school psychologists as a means of maintaining and enhancing the quality of professional performance has however, been ignored.
