Determining Areas of Strengths and Weaknesses on the Stanford-Binet

pp. 174—177

ABSTRACT: Sattler’s SD technique for interpreting strengths and weaknesses on the Stanford-Binet has been simplified by Kaufman and Waterstreet in the form of an easy-to-use table. In their table, ranges of normal variability have been calculated for different CA and MA baselines.Unfortunately, improper estimates of normal variability occur when using their table because the CA and MA values are rounded off to the nearest half-year or full year of age. Therefore, a refinement of their table is presented, with an example to demonstrate its use.
