Special Education and Vocational Education Compatibility

pp. 60—63

The goal of all educational programs-whether general, special, or vocational in nature-is to produce the best learning experiences for an individual student. However, the theoretical and methodological orientations of special education and vocational education appear to be almost antithetical in nature, and the compatibility of these divisions of education is in question. This paper will demonstrate the compatibility of these two divisions of education and demonstrate an ongoing program that bridges the gap between the theoretical orientations.
