Basic Questions on Affective Education: Preparation and Application
S.N. Hart, N.H. Goud
The scene takes place in the office of the Dean of the School of Education in a university in an urban-suburban setting. Two educational psychology faculty members, whom we will call Dr.Empath and Dr. Trueself, have recently proposed that the university and local schools develop and implement a program which would prepare educators, school psychologists, and counselors to effectively promote the affective development of students in the public schools. The two faculty members are about to be questioned by the Dean and by representatives of the local public school system’s teachers, administrators and parents.
