Consultation has been labeled the “third revolution” in the mental health delivery system. As an alternative to direct one-toone service to children, it has changed the role of many school psychologists significantly. The importance of this mode of delivering psychological services is imbedded in the value of primary prevention. It offers a vehicle through which natural support systems can be utilized more effectively in meeting human needs. It, also, spreads the effect of intervention by involving more people in the treatment process. In this way, more people can be served and the gap between need for &atment and treatment provided can be minimized.
