The Effects of Instructional Set on Language Comprehension of Culturally Disadvantaged Children

The study described here investigated the effects of different instructional set upon the performance and error patterns of pre-school children’s language comprehension. It was intended to clarify some of the contradictions and controversies in previous research studies, while centering on the needs of children of restricted social and economic opportunity.
