Public Law 94-142 reveals important implications for the assessment functions of school psychologists. Specifically the focus is the non-discriminatory nature of β€œtesting and evaluation materials and procedures utilized for the purpose of evaluations and placement of handicapped children.” Furthermore, the law states that these evaluation materials and procedures β€œ. . . will be selected and administered so as not to be racially and culturally discriminatory.”
