Introduction to the Mini-Series: School Psychology in the 21st Century

The turn of the 21st Century provides an opportunity to describe the present and offer directions and predictions for the future of our field. This mini-series provides a framework for the present of school psychology and suggests important directions for the field in the coming years. In the first article, Sheridan and Gutkin provide a conceptual and contextual framework for the field of school psychology. Guided by an ecological framework of service delivery that addresses needs across multiple systemic levels,the authors suggest methods for changing the predominant focus of school psychological services.
