School Violence Mini-Series: Impressions and Implications

pp. 257—261

The authors and guest editors of this miniseries must be commended for their foresight in choosing to tackle one of the most controversial issues facing our nation today. The timeliness and pervasiveness of school violence is substantiated daily through media headlines everywhere. This miniseries not only provides extensive, current information on this important topic, but also strongly encourages educational professionals to play a greater role in efforts to improve school safety. Four questions regularly surfaced across these articles and served to organize my thoughts and comments.
