ABSTRACT: A growing number of deaths due to Acquired Immune Deficiency (AIDS) have been reported among school age children. Due to an increase in AIDS among heterosexuals, the number of pediatric AIDS cases may be expected to continue to rise. Many schools will be confronted with the task of developing policy to meet the medical, educational, and psychological needs of students with AIDS.In this regard, this article reviews several biological/medical, legal, and psychological/educational issues associated with AIDS in a school setting
