Welcome to Communiqué Online.

As usual, this month's issue has an impressive array of articles about professional practice, association news, and advocacy for children. My hope is that everyone will find something here that piques his or her interest.

I want to especially draw your attention to the article by Curtis, Castillo, and Gelley about the results of the latest NASP member survey. This is a two-part article, so you will have to wait until next month to see the second installment. Part 1 describes demographics, credentialing, characteristics of our workplaces, and student-to-school psychologist ratios. Part 2 will report on the variety of services that we provide and discuss the changes that have occurred in our field since the last survey was done 5 years ago. I hope you read this article; it is the source for a great deal of information about our profession and can be a great advocacy tool for local action.

Three reminders: (a) Please do something to recognize National Mental Health Awareness Month and the critical role that we play in promoting the social, emotional, and behavioral health of children; (b) congratulate NASP award winners, Patti Harrison and Ben Fernandez, and (c) say farewell to Pamela Beeman, who retires her Off Task column after 25 years in Communiqué.

See you back here in June!
