Become an NASP NCSP Portfolio Reviewer
The National School Psychology Certification Board is actively recruiting NCSP portfolio reviewer volunteers. These folio reviewers will be trained to evaluate folio applications from NCSP candidates who have graduated from non- NASP-approved training programs. As a reviewer, you will review approximately two portfolios a year and can earn CPD renewal credits for each review.
To be eligible as a reviewer, you must hold a current NCSP credential and be a current NASP member. This is a great way to participate in an important NASP leadership activity, support the profession, network with colleagues, and earn CPD credits! The NCSP board will also send a letter to the supervisor of your choice documenting your leadership and service to the profession.
The training will take place at the NASP convention in Washington, DC on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, Lobby Level, Embassy Room. Learning objectives of the training include the following:
- Participants will learn to identify the relevant NASP standards for credentialing and graduate preparation for NCSP reviews.
- Participants will learn how to apply NASP standards in evaluating an NCSP candidate's knowledge and skills in relation to the standards.
- Participants will learn how to evaluate the problem-solving process through a review of the case study approach and evaluation matrix. To register, please e-mail Barbara Williams or Jessica McDaniel at NCSPboard@naspweb.org.
