Description of Respecialization Process
Individuals who already possess a master's degree in a closely allied field from an accredited institution may apply directly into the certification portion of the program, but may be required to make up certain master's degree courses. A total of 69 credits beyond the bachelor's degree are required for the specialist certificate.

Description of Respecialization Process
Students who are already certified as school psychologists through another fully accredited institution may apply directly to the doctoral program. The sequence of courses required of these students is determined by a review of their past training and their performance on both a content and practice competency evaluation. The minimal core program for these students is 42 credits beyond the specialist certification. Additional coursework may be required based on the performance evaluation of the student upon entry.
