And now a word from our legal staff:
Copyright infringement is a violation of federal law subject
to criminal and civil penalties. "NASP" and "THE NATIONAL
ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS" are service marks
of the National Association of School Psychologists.
Only those documents which have been approved by the
Delegate Assembly form the official positions of NASP,
and those will be clearly noted within the website. All
other documents reflect the ideas and positions of the
authors and do not necessarily reflect the positions or
ideas of the National Association of School Psychologists.
The responsibility for the content of those documents
lies solely with the authors.
The information provided in this website is - by necessity
- of a general, impersonal nature. It should only be applied
to a specific situation under the guidance of a fully
qualified school psychologist who is familiar with the
situation and the individuals involved. It is in no way
an adequate substitute for a consultation with a school
psychologist.

of NASP as indicated below.
Using NASP
Copyrighted Materials for Educational Purposes
NASP recognizes that items from our journal are frequently
used in classes and in-services, and are sometimes included
in course assignments and anthologies. An important court
decision recently affirmed the need for educators to obtain
authorization for copying such materials. Since that decision,
a substantial increase in these requests has created an
administrative burden for our small staff. Therefore, in
order to more efficiently process requests for one-time
educational usage, NASP entered into an agreement with the
Copyright Clearance Center for its Academic Permissions
Service (APS) to serve as a clearinghouse for requests and
collector of a modest, $0.15 per-page/per copy fee.
To request permission to photocopy, please contact:
APS Customer Service Department
CCC Academic Permission Service

An APS Customer Service Representative will process
your requests and provide a response containing photocopy
authorization and royalty fee information on behalf of
NASP.
Thank you again for your interest, and your willingness
to comply with the copyright laws.
Cautions
You are welcome to browse the NASP web pages and learn
what you may, but the ultimate responsibility for the
use of this material falls upon the individual. The information
is intentionally general to appeal to a wide audience,
so if you have specific concerns, you should contact a
school psychologist in your area. Browsing this website
does NOT substitute for a consultation with a fully qualified
school psychologist. Our legal staff recommends that you
thoroughly read and understand the following notices.
