PI015: Using iPad Applications to Supplement Social-Emotional Learning

Friday, February 21, 2014 3:00 PM–3:45 PM

The use of iPads in schools is becoming more common. However, there is limited research on the types of iPad applications that might be useful. The authors reviewed eighteen iPad applications addressing social-emotional skills in children and adolescents. The applications were reviewed according to target skill, prerequisite instruction, supervision, developer, feedback, target grade/ages, cost, iTunes rating, and overall utility. Participants will leave with an overview on social-emotional iPad applications how to apply these applications.
