MS053: Promoting Health and Safety Through Community Collaboration

Description:

We will highlight how school psychologists joined and collaborated with a community youth task force to foster preventive services. Participants will learn how the youth task force conducted needs assessments of health and safety concerns that ultimately resulted in recommendations, implementation, and evaluation of prevention and intervention practices. Attendees will learn how school psychologists can be pivotal systems change agents when involved in community work to address risk factors that affect children and youth.
