MS046: Development and Use of a Locally-Normed Behavioral Universal Screener

Tuesday, February 18, 2014 10:00 AM–11:50 AM

Creating a locally-normed universal behavioral screener may sound overwhelming to a practicing school psychologist. Presenters will demonstrate how to apply Best Practices to create and implement a brief, inexpensive screener within participants’ own school systems. Participants will learn how to assess the behavior of whole elementary populations using a strength-based approach and how to analyze the data to address the behavioral needs of students within the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support framework.
