PA090: Mindfulness as an Intervention for Students with Emotional Behavioral Disorder

This paper presents the data and outcomes from an eight-week mindfulness intervention research project designed for adolescents with Emotional/Behavioral Disorder. Utilizing mixed methods data, the adolescents’ experiences will be presented, as well as insights as to how this experience translates to changes in mindfulness and changes in classroom behavior. Session attendees will learn how mindfulness can be used as an intervention, and how modifications can be made for special populations.
