PO068: Cognitive Training Effects on Reading Fluency in Children with Dyslexia

What happened when 30 children with dyslexia were provided with a 9-month intervention that included explicit and systematic support for the development of phonemic awareness, phonemic decoding, and text reading accuracy? The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a specific cognitive training program on the reading fluency scores of children with dyslexia. Novice practitioners can see how this type of intervention may be helpful for their students.
