MS022: Supporting Academic Success: A Team Approach that Promotes Self-Efficacy


This presentation will describe a collaborative team model established by a school psychologist and a reading specialist at a high school to disseminate information to mainstream teachers on best practices for helping struggling students improve reading and motivation. Topics will include teaming, Common Core curriculum and self-efficacy. Participants will gain an understanding of the concept of self-efficacy, how it impacts student achievement and how to create self-efficacy measures to monitor and increase motivation.
