Children with visual impairments struggle in many areas of reading. This presentation will inform participants on the difficulties children with visual impairments face along with their areas of relative strength. It will also illustrate methods that can be used to improve the reading abilities of visually impaired students including repeated reading and magnification devices. Practitioners will learn how to implement these methods and how to include visually impaired children into a Response to Intervention Model.
