MS013: Supporting LGBTQA Youth: Evidence-Based Strategies Promoting Inclusive School Climates

As LGBTQA youth make up a significant portion of our nation’s school population, school psychologists should be knowledgeable about the strategies that can promote a safe school climate for these students. The goal of this session is to provide research-based strategies for creating an inclusive school climate, to discuss the legal rights of individuals and groups supporting LGBTQA youth, and to increase knowledge of resources for school psychologists working with this population of students.
