PO033: Executive Function Predicts Academic Achievement in Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Description: Which executive functions (EF) best predict the academic performance of children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)? We will discuss the results of a study outlining the specific EF subcomponents, such as working memory and planning, that contribute to each area of academic achievement in a sample of children with ADHD. This information can be used to guide interventions targeting specific EF deficits that may be underlying contributors to academic problems in children with ADHD.
