PO028: Interns' Perspectives on Supervision in School Psychology

The purpose of this presentation is to explore interns’ perspectives of effective supervision experiences during internship. Eighteen interns were asked to describe their perceptions of effective and ineffective supervisors, along with specific examples of helpful (and unhelpful) supervision experiences from their internship sites. These responses were categorized into common themes (e.g., time management and organization, opportunities for practice and feedback). School psychologists who supervise interns will be provided with recommendations to inform their supervisory practices.
