PO027: Progress Monitoring in a Private Bilingual School in El Salvador

The presenters will discuss the development and implementation of an Early Intervention Reading program for Kindergarten and first grade at a bilingual school in El Salvador. Issues impacting progress monitoring in the bilingual population will be discussed and the results of a study investigating the validity of the Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening for this population will be reviewed. Attendees will learn about the unique variables impacting the implementation of an Early Intervention program abroad.
