PO010: Children of Deployed Parents: Implications for Consulting with Teachers

Description:

Do children with deployed military parents have unique educational needs? Find out what teachers think and the perceived impact of deployment on the academic and social/emotional functioning of students. School psychologists will also learn what factors associated with teachers (specific training, years of experience, personal military affiliation, etc) are related to the implementation of class-wide activities that support the needs of children with a deployed parent. Implications for consulting with teachers will be presented.
