PO004: Barriers and Facilitators in RTI Implementation and SLD Referrals

Teachers and principals are responsible for much of the Response to Intervention process, including conducting interventions and monitoring academic progress. The purposes of this study were to conduct a qualitative investigation of factors that teachers and principals perceive act as barriers or facilitators of RTI implementation and the use of RTI to make SLD referrals at each RTI tier. Understanding barriers and facilitators may increase successful implementation and promote sustainability of the model.
